Review: Nature’s Palate Paleo Condiments

Review: Nature’s Palate Paleo Condiments

After seeing the ingredient lists on these new condiments that have just hit the market, Nature’s Palate, I decided to whip up some simple food to give them a try and see if the delicious factor matches the clean, whole ingredients factor. Nope, you don’t have to be “paleo” to eat a food that claims itself to be paleo – I have eating habits that feature predominantly whole, unprocessed foods and have been so long before a paleo diet became defined and labelled. So, if you follow a paleo diet, OR if you prefer to eat healthy, clean and whole foods, you might want to try this product for some time-saving and delicious dishes. I scooped up...

Fresh Restaurants, New Menu: Phytosalad and Trail Mix Power Shake

Fresh Restaurants, New Menu: Phytosalad and Trail Mix Power Shake

THE PHYTOSALAD. This is one of my favourites of the new additions to the menu at Fresh. This salad blew my mind the first time I tried it – what a delicious combo of flavours. First of all, the edible flowers are of course a lovely touch. But combine those microgreens and sprouts with the soba noodles, tofu steaks (I also like it with the marinated tofu cubes) in the tahini-esque 3-6-9 dressing and you end up shovelling this awesome contrast in your mouth like it’s some bad-for-you comfort food. Healthy Snacks

I’ve posted about this before, but we all need refreshers! You should never go longer than four hours without some fuel, so when your days are long and meals are widely spread out, you have to make sure you have some balanced in-betweeners to keep your blood sugar levels stable, energy high and body burning as it should. My Lifesaver: FitOrganix

My Lifesaver: FitOrganix

Recently I was forced to assess my workload and come up with solutions to always feeling behind. Sometimes we have to restrict or scale down some passionate intent, when it can (over time) develop into wildfire. I don’t know a soul who’s never gotten carried away by something (or someone) they love. Organization is the ultimate key to success, no matter what one seeks efficiency in. Both lifestyle and business can see a complete nosedive or burnout with a lack of organization, OR, a well-fueled and completely sustainable strong machine, with its appropriate application. Sustainability is as important a concept to pay mind to in life as it is in our food. The...

Confidence and The Core

Confidence and The Core

People might think it sounds kooky, but having a strong core relates directly to one’s confidence level. The core is the power centre – responsible for all of our limb movement. It is the source of our movement, just as confidence is the source of our progressive capabilities in life. So, by strengthening our cores, we strengthen our confidence, and confidence takes care of attaining what we deserve and what we need to be most successful and happy in life. So, is your trunk feeling balanced and strong right now? And are you, then, feeling strong and confident? I like for clients to check in on this. When you properly engage your core, it changes the...
