Ryan: All Is Not Lost

Ryan: All Is Not Lost

Jessica was gone!!!!!!!!! I was lost – but I managed to stick to a tough schedule. Week 1 sans Jessica was not my best effort – a mix of business events (including an overly indulgent, weekend-long Montreal business trip) had me feeling like I was bloated and gross. So when Monday rolled around (last Monday) I knew I had to step it up and hammer out a solid week on both the diet and workout front. From Monday to today I ran 44Km, did 1.5 hours of hot yoga, and did 3 solid strength training sessions. I ate well, trying to focus most on a balance of greens and proteins while minimizing fast food. I found a nice little spot that I hit for 3 of the 5 lunches. I struggle...

No news is good news! Hi everyone, it’s me again. I am happy to report: there is nothing major to report! Workouts are on schedule and leg is almost 100%. I am able to play sports again (but warming up before and stretching after). It’s hard to stay on top of stretching, because standing still is impossible for me. But, I don’t want to get re-injured! Our team made it to the finals in baseball and lost by one run (this was a real heartbreaker). Our football team managed to finish the season without a win (frustrating, but expected). Playing ball-hockey Mondays and Thursdays for the winter! Jessica and I have stuck with the same strength-based workout regime,...

BnW #5: Bests and Worsts of Pizza Pizza

BnW #5: Bests and Worsts of Pizza Pizza

Who doesn’t love pizza? And Pizza Pizza is probably the shop we see the most of! So, allow yourself to be informed on what your best and worst picks are. All of my info was attained HERE. I will begin with walk-in slices, and the BESTS to start on a positive note (though these ginormous slices of pizza are ALL high in fat and calories). NOTE: I am judging by fat and calorie content, though be advised the sodium amount in all of these slices varies between 1100 and 2300mg of sodium – which is too much for a normal day. Walk In Slices BESTS: Cheese – 580 cal, 16g fat Garden Veggie w classic dough – 590 calories, 16g fat Sweet Chili Chicken –...
