Fitness for Kids - Mental Health

Well. We know that exercise is one of the biggest determining factors when it comes to one’s mental health. It has the power to change your chemistry, change your frame of mind, detoxify, and ultimately rebalance your body (which houses your nervous system and your emotional health, of course.)

Mental health improvements are also within the top three reasons why I initially chose and have settled so deeply into this career.

As a mother of two, now engaged in a community of parents, I am witnessing a great deal of anxiety about the mental health of our children. Particularly the ages of 8 - 16, from my perspective.

Not every kid aligns well with sports. Not every kid feels comfortable doing group fitness activities. But every single kid - every SINGLE KID - needs physical activity.

Every single kid needs support with confidence, and to feel strong. To develop a sense of autonomy. And probably above all else - to have a physical outlet for stress.

While I understand that personal training for kids could be seen as a luxury, I also feel that the return on investment is so major that it could dramatically change the trajectory for not only the child’s life, but the family relationship as well.

Supportive physical exertion in an environment where the child feels trust and comfort provides the ability to cultivate a calm confidence. We will work to generate a greater sense of ease and control in those difficult years.

Self-trust and confidence are integral to making wise decisions, staying safe, while also preparing one’s body for a healthier life in the future.

I’ve decided today to open up my services to children the ages of 8+, with this exact goal in mind. To build a rapport with your child, to improve their strength and confidence, teach them the importance of life-long wellness and to give them a physical outlet for their stress.

The workouts will be fun and play-based, with lots of teaching interwoven with lots of laughter. Contact me to ask me anything.

I’m so excited to help you.
